'Racist fight' sparks action
14 janv. 2011SANParks says that it has beefed up its security following the alleged racist altercation at the Kruger National Park in December 2010.
It is alleged that an Indian man was
attacked in full view of his family by two drunken visitors during a game drive near Crocodile Bridge.
Eyewitnesses said that the men also taunted him with racial slurs.
They have both been banned for a year and have been ordered to pay fines.
Reynolds Thakuli of SANParks says that new policies and security measures have been implemented to protect visitors.
He said: "This includes not allowing day visitors to bring alcohol through the park's gates. We'll also put up a park and ride system where an open safari vehicle will be introduced for day
visitors at all gates to reduce traffic congestion."
