The We Found Love singer told her followers that she be taking to the stage with the British group, who she collaborated with on the track Princess of China.
The track features on Coldplay's best-selling album Mylo Xyloto.
She tweeted: 'My friends @ColdPlay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this years Annual Grammy Awards!'.
RiRi later added: 'WE reached 2BILLION views on @youtube !!! THANK U!!! I'm in a great mood, and I got some GREAT NEWS!!! PRINCESS OF CHINA #GRAMMYS2012.'
Rihanna recently beat Lady Gaga to become the most watched female artist on YouTube, racking up more than two billion views on her official channel.
The Bajan star has made no secret of the fact that she's dying to get on stage with Coldplay and rumours have been swirling around for a while that they will also be performing together at the Brit Awards next month.
She previously told The Sun: 'I think Chris Martin is a special guy.
'His songwriting is just beautiful and I am a huge fan.
'If they want me to sing with Coldplay, I will be waiting for the call. I'd love to perform with them.'
The 54th Grammy Awards take place on Sunday, February 12 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles while the Brit Awards will be happening on Tuesday, February 21 at London's O2 Arena.
