Trey Songz GQ March 2012 Spring

Trey Songz is one of the hardest working men in music. When he isn’t working on his upcoming album Chapter 5, the Rocawear spokesman is touring the country with Big Sean on his “Anticipation 2our” and posing for GQ magazine.

The fashionable crooner made it in the pages of GQ‘s March 2012 issue. Wearing designer names including J. Crew, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Emporio Armani, a dapper Trey showed off some Spring looks. He briefly spoke on being inspired by Prince and Marvin Gaye’s career decisions.

“What made Prince, Prince is, you didn’t know shit about him. As an artist, you need a persona, a mystique. When you step into Twitter, Facebook, all of that, you’re giving a piece of it away.”

“I could make a hundred “Bottoms Up’s,” he says. “But they won’t change nobody’s life. Marvin Gaye sang love songs to a certain point, and then it was like, ‘Fuck this; I’m not clean-cut no more. I’m putting this skully on, letting this beard grow out, and I’m doing whatever the fuck I wanna do.”
