Pop megastar Britney Spears is set to return to the airwaves in a matter of weeks with new single ‘Hold It Against Me’. Produced by Dr Luke, the single serves as the first offering from Spears’ as yet untitled follow-up to 2008’s Platinum ‘Circus’ LP – which is due in March.

Randomness: A broken record I may sound like, but I will keep emphasising the fact that I need to see Ms. Spears deliver not only with the material, yet also with her live performances. Hardship or otherwise, the industry is cut-throat; hence she shouldn’t be excused for walking up and down the stage in a daze - just because. As an appreciator of music and stage-show, yours truly sees it as a slap in the face to all of the artists busting their behinds to put on  genuinely entertaining spectacles. I mean that ‘Circus Tour’ was daylight robbery. Fans parting with 3 figure sums to see Britney drag herself sluggishly across the stage while lip-syncing each and every song. No bueno.

Put simply; bring your ‘A’ game Ms. Spears or stay at home. Harsh? Perhaps. True? You already know.
