“As Miss Tropics 2011, I would do my very best to make a difference in my entire year of reign. Representing both Zimbabwe and Malawi; the magazine and Africans at large, I would be sure to utilize my leadership and versality skills to have a positive influence on all the young and beautiful girls in Africa.”

“My goal and my aim are to form friendships between countries and educate others about Africa, our magazine and the true symbols of an African queen.”

“African culture is interesting because of its diversity. Every African country is a mix of tribes, each with their own unique language and culture. In this competition, I represented Malawi which is often called the ‘warm hear of Africa’ because of the warmth and friendliness of the people. I also represented Zimbabwe, a country that believes education and team work are the key to success. I am honored to be representing both countries and so I am bringing all these cultural values at work.”

“As Africans, we are taught good human relations and sense of togetherness. So helping others has become like second nature to me. I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity of wearing this crown. I plan to give back to my motherland by helping educate Africans to eradicate the poverty mentality and to promote healthy living in the rural areas.”

“I would enjoy working with some NGOs that help feed homeless people and aid those in crucial need of medical assistance.”

The first runner-up was 22-years-old Charlotte’s Look. She is a Swiss model with Haitian origins. After majoring in Economics and Law, Charlotte became one of the HES-SO University of Applied Sciences in social work. She practiced rhythmic gymnastics and now is currently doing several types of dance. Charlotte has a passion for arts and expresses her talent throughout photography. She has initiated the ‘Charlotte’s Look’ concept last year to inspire upcoming models and photographers for their professional books.
